April  Shih

My name is April (Yi-chen) Shih. Now I am a junior and majoring in English in Fu-Jen Catholic University. My hometown is Kaohsing, which is the second biggest city and biggest port in Taiwan. I am the only girl in my family. I have an elder and a younger brother. Being with brothers, I am influenced to be an active and outgoing person. I am flexible and get along with people easily.

        I became a Christian when I was seventeen. This belief helps me go through many difficulties and makes me more optimistic and grow. I am interested in reading psychology related books, especially books about interpersonal relationships. Through those books, I learn how to deal with emotions and also how to interact with people in proper ways. In the spare time, I like to go to movies with friends. Whiling watching movies, I could relax myself and escape from my ordinary life.

   As for the future plan, I am not really sure what I am going to do. What I am doing now is to seize every chance to learn and prepare myself. Though I don¡¦t have any specific plan or goal right now, I believe that little by little I will clearly see them. All I want is to be able to love and care about the people around me, because I know that Love is all that matters.    

I really like to be with people, especially children. Thus, I hope I could be an elementary teacher in the future.
