Hello guys,

    Iˇ¦m glad to be your friend. I hope weˇ¦ll enjoy our communication and cooperation. I live in Taipei city, but during weekdays, I live in a dorm which is close to my school. I started learning English at the age of 10 at a childrenˇ¦s English school. The English that I learned at that time laid a basic foundation for my future English learning in the future. So, in junior high and high school, I didnˇ¦t have much trouble learning English and it was always my favorite subject.  

    Besides English, I also like to explore world cultures. As an English major, I especially hope that I can use English as a tool to reach out to others and bridge the gap between my language and theirs. I believe learning a foreign language can give me insights into another culture and open my mind to new ways of seeing things. Therefore, Iˇ¦ve been waiting for this program for a long time, because it just satisfies my desires. Making friends from foreign countries is such a fun thing for me! In recent years, Taiwanese youngsters passionately embrace the pop culture form Japan, and Japanese things are visible everywhere in here in Taiwan. Many friends of mine are learning Japanese now and they said Japan is the country that they most desire to visit. What kind of a country can give people so much fascination? I hope I can gain more understanding about Japan through this program.
