My Papa's Waltz
From the sentence "Could make a small boy dizzy", we can see that this poem was written by an adult. This poem, talks about the love between father and son. Father danced with the boy. The father was a rude fellow, because when he danced, he would miss steps, it means that he is not well educated. And the father danced with his son and romped until the pans slid from the kitchen shelf. Usually, a well-educated person wouldn't do so. The father beat time on the kid's head and danced with kid while drunk also point out that he is a careless man.
Besides, the father might be a hard-working person, for "the hand that held my wrist was battered on one knuckle" and "You beat time on my head with a palm caked hard by dirt."
The most important is, the boy was waltzed off to bed and still clinging to the father's shirt. I think, the relation between them should be nice. If not, the boy wouldn't be so reluctant to be part with his father.

Those Winter Sundays
The narrator, I think, should be a youth. He has started to know what his father did to him and feel his father's love. The relation between them, I think, is just like most Chinese families. In our tradition, we don't speak out our love, but we do things for those we love. We show our love in a conservative way. However, children in our society often take these things for granted. The father in the poem worked hard, but "no one thanked him."
The father was really kind, because he woke the boy up when he had warmed the house. What is more, he would polish shoes for his child. Just because not knowing how to show our love, father always appears in a serious way. That's why the boy fears the chronic angers of that house and speaks indifferently to his father. Those things caused love's austere and lonely offices.
The boy has started to think "What did I know of love's austere and lonely offices?" I think, after some days, he will know the answer.
