I would like to discuss about the mental illness our protagonist is suffering.In those days,this is illness is called"nervous breakdown".However,the usage of this word is compulsory,since at the time,the famous psychoanalysis psychiatrist--Floyd,didn't came out with professional psychological words yet,so that they call it "nervous breakdown".And as I read the story,the more I feel that what she suffered isn't mere nervous feelings,but much worse--paranoid.Or at least it seems like that,because of her illusions she had upon the wallpaper,the figure inside it.And here comes a question:If she indeed suffered from paranoid,how come she only had creepy imagination
