A Noiseless Patient Spider
In this poem, it is making a comparison between a spider and a man. In the first stanza we can see that the author is describing the vacant vast in which the spider is isolated making its web. It looks like the spider is trying to connect this huge vacant place. The way the spider is making its web is in a very careful way because he is launching but also unreeling. We can see that the spider concerns on every single detail. It doesn't tolerate any mistake so it unreels and then launches again. At the last three lines in the first stanza we can see that the spider is making the web carefully but also tirelessly. We can see that the lines in this poem are becoming longer as the poem is written. I think that it is because of the spider, as the poem goes the more the spider is making the web and the longer the filament will be so as the lines of the poem.
Now in the second stanza the author is comparing the narrator with this hard working spider. He is expressing himself as if he was the spider. He is showing himself, how isolated he is and how much he wants to connect himself with the outside world. He is using the vast ocean to compare with the vacant vast surrounding. We can see that both the author and the spider are very lonely and also isolated. But in the second stanza it talks how much he miss and wonders to see his "lover" or the "outside world."
In the third stanza we can see that there are only two lines. I think that it is because of the author. He wants to show the environment in which he is but he doesn't want to give it in details. It only talks about the island in which he is isolated and  he is trying to show how much he has to work in order to be able to connect himself with the outside world. He is showing that he will have to work as hard as the tirelessly spider in order to connect himself with the outside world.
I think that in this journal the author wants to liberate his soul so his soul can be freed. He wants to have relationship with the outside world. He wants to feel as if he was part of the society but now he feels like he is trapped in this island. He feels himself as a small spider making its web in order to reach the other end and continue its way. He wants to make a relationship bridge.
