This is a great idea worthy of discussion!

Hi, Kevin,

For me, you touched on the heart of the matter. Getting materials from the web, is it plagiarism or is it not? To rephrase the question, in what way can we avoid plagiarism?

Indeed, we need to insist on a strict line between copying and referencing. Doing so is not just a matter of fulfilling requirements, or being moral. It is to insist on our self-identity. That we do have something of our own to say.

I'll bring this up to the whole class. Thanks for reminding me.

But then on the other hand, we can still create a virtual identity with footnotes and acknowledgements and citations, right?

Kate
