AUDITION GUIDELINES 試鏡 注意事項

KEEP TWO-minute time limit. Time will be called if the student exceeds the two-minutes. Introduce yourself and your audition monologue. 

THE INTRODUCTION includes: (1) YOUR NAME (2) THE MONOLOGUE TITLE AND AUTHOR

1. 請不要超過2分鐘。超過兩分鐘的學生將給予提醒。開始時請先介紹自己的姓名、以及你要表演的獨白。

這段介紹應包含(1)你的姓名 (2)獨白的標題以及作者姓名。

MEMORIZE the monologue, but don’t be a slave to the script, ACTING IS NOT JUST MEMORIZING WORDS!

2. 請將獨白背起來，並加以演出。請不要用背書方式念台詞，演戲並非背書!

BE THE CHARACTER. DON'T say "sorry" if you forget. DON'T ask whether you may start again; just start again if you need to.

Talk to the other character(s) in the scene.  Place the other character(s) in front of you. Avoid turning or talking too far to the side. 

Avoid the use of any actual person in the room as the character you are talking to in your audition piece.

3. 將自己融入角色之中。忘詞時不要說「對不起」。不要問你是否可以重新演一遍；如果需要就直接重新開始。

這是獨白演出，請勿要求現場其他人跟你同台演出對話。請想像自己就站在劇中其他人物面前，跟他們說話。演出時，請勿背對觀眾或站在太旁邊說話。

DO WEAR simple non-obtrusive clothing and shoes.  Have your hands free (uncovered) for gesturing. Costumes are not recommended.

4. 請穿簡便的衣物。讓你的手可以自由的做動作。並不建議學生穿著戲服。

BEGIN facing UPSTAGE; TAKE a BREATH, TURN AROUND; and BEGIN. When finished say, “CURTAIN.”

5. 開始時，面對舞台後方；深呼吸，轉身，然後開始。結束時，請說“CURTAIN.”

Sit only if ABSOLUTELY required by the monologue. Two straight back chairs will be provided. DO NOT USE PROPERTIES. Pantomime any necessary objects.

6.除非獨白需要，不然請勿坐著。現場會提供兩張椅子。請勿使用道具。如果有需要的物品，請用假裝的方式。

INVENT appropriate MOVEMENTS for your character.  DO NOT STAND STIFFLY without moving for the whole monologue or song.

7. 請自行根據角色台詞編排合適的演出動作。不論是表演獨白或唱歌，避免在全場演出中，都一直僵硬地站在原地。

SPEAK UP clearly and loudly to be heard from the back of the theater.

8. 說話方式請清楚，大聲，好讓坐劇場最後一排的人員都可聽到。
