Hsieh, Tony. Section D. Nowadays, every college in Taiwan has course evaluations in order to review teachers’ teaching methods and students’ learning conditions and outcomes, and Fu Jen University is no exception. Basically, most of the universities in Taiwan adopt electronic questionnaires and students can respond to a series of questions in order to evaluate the courses. I interviewed four professors to collect their thoughts and also issued an electronic questionnaire to obtain students’ views. According to my research result, Fu Jen University’s evaluation system is not effective and it has many problems which have to be improved as soon as possible, including unsuitable format, vague questions, destructive policy, problems resulting from students’ and teachers’ subjective attitude, and incomplete supplementary measures. Guo, Grace. Section A The Birth Order Theory is a popular psychology that is believed worldwide, and has been continuing to be widely spread in forms of books, magazine articles, and even as an insight in workplace relations in businesses. Nevertheless, some researches indicate that variables within a family, such as sibship size, age between siblings, and gender composition and alter the Birth Order Theory. These variables have been neglected in birth order studies. The goal of this study is to point out the complexity of family formation in Taiwan that would make the Birth Order Theory inapplicable. It shows how people have been gathering stereotypical concepts of birth order, and that the theory is not reliable anymore. Chen, Mint. Section D. |
