“Customers Service in Hotel Restaurants: The Perspectives of Workers toward
‘Customers Are Always Right.’”

In the hospitality industry as hotel restaurant, there is a belief that ‘customers are always right.’ In the hotel restaurant career training, employees would be trained to believe ‘customers are always right.’ Under such training, employees would never have the rights to act against the customers when the customer makes unreasonable requests. It is very important to investigate if the cliché ‘customers are always right’ is right or wrong. Through the interview with five employees who work in the hotel restaurants to understand the perspectives of the employees toward the ideas of ‘customers are always right.’ The findings in this research show that employees disagree that customers are always right. Customers are not always right, but employees are required to respect customers under any situations.
