“No Meat, No Worries: Cooling-off Earth”

This research looks into college students’ reasoning in not adopting a vegetarian diet. Coming from a vegetarian family, my parents preached that it benefits the environment as well as the individual. In addition to not knowing the benefits to our environment, students do not believe that a vegetarian diet provides sufficient nutrition; there aren’t enough vegetarian restaurants and peer pressure takes over. This research includes data gathered questionnaires and interviews completed by college students. The results indicate most students are not vegetarians because of a misconception in nutrition, which means students can choose to adopt a vegetarian diet because it’s nutritive enough.

“Art or Rebellion?--College Students’ Perspective of Body Piercing”    Compared to the previous generation, many people nowadays are willing to have body art, and body piercing is most commonly seen among college students. In my research paper, I would like to discuss the reasons why those young people have their face or body pierced and how they view this body art; for those who don’t have ring piercing, I would also like to know their impression or opinion about this phenomenon. I predict that through this research, we can clearly see the differences on thoughts in the same generation.

“Do Marketing Strategies Matter?—7-ELEVEN as a Case Study”

Nowadays, convenience stores play an indispensable role in people’s life; whenever we are, there is always a convenience store around the corner. Besides buying daily supplies, with the emphasis on customers’ need, convenience stores in Taiwan provide multiple services as well. When it comes to convenience stores, without hesitation, most of people would think of 7-ELEVEN. In this research paper, by doing a literature review, conducting questionnaires and comparing with other convenience stores like Hi-life, OK, and Family Market, I aim to demonstrate that 7-ELEVEN has the absolute advantage to attract more customers by creating the cooperation image, innovating products, and advertising their promotion campaign successfully.
