When we talk about love stories, who do you think is the best actress?
Who is the queen of it? Have you seen the movie ,"City of Angles?"
If you did, you may have the same answer with most of the people.
"Yes, I think Meg Ryan is the best actress of love stories." The
answer is so affirmative among the fans, for Meg's wonderful performance
and brilliant smiling has caught a lot of people's hearts. That's
why she owns the special name "the American sweet heart" among the actresses.
She is like a delicious candy and everyone would like to hold her in the
mouth. Not long ago, another kind of tasty candy appeared on the
table. Quickly, she became a hit star in Hollywood and was known
and loved by many people among the world. She was the Sunny Girl--Sandra
Bullock. Have you seen the movie, "While You Were Sleeping?"
If you did, you may meet a dilemma when you answer the former question
again.
Of course they are two totally different persons but the similar roles
they have played in the films make them comparable.
Meg Ryan was born on November 19th, 1961. When she was 15 years
old, her mother left her in order to be an actress. Although they
met with each other frequently, the gap between them became deeper and
deeper. Later, her stepfather even showed these personal private
affairs to the public and was content with what he had done. Hereafter,
Meg always refused to speak of her mother in public occasion but was happy
to tell others abouth the happiness and bitterness of being a mother.
She was married to an actor, Dennis Quaid in 1991 and had a son, Jack.
Because of this unhappy childhood, Meg was partial to the role of "woman",
especially different kinds of wonmen. She acted each role truly and
hoped to make people think "her" more, for it may be the reflection of
us. How did she enter this field? Meg Ryan was noticed at first
in the movie called " Top Gun." She was a wife of Tom Cruise's friend,
Anthony Edwards. Then, she was chosen by Steven Spielberg to be the
main actress in "Innerspace." In 1989, the success of "When Harry
Met Sally" made Meg to be one of the most popular actresses. Her
queen's position was established in the popularity of " Sleepless in Seattle."
Until now, she has starred in 21 films. Among these, she also tried
some different parts from her usual ones. In 1996, "Courage under
Fire", for example, she played a role of a lieutenant. It's a story
about whether the liietenant was worthy of being rewarded or not.
She did a good job in it, too! Meg was lucky that she almost faced
no problems in the performance of her movies, for her charming smiling
was the best show itself. In the future, Meg said she wouldn't give
up acting because it was her favorite interest. Besides, she was
willing to try more good and unlike parts.
Compared with Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock was certainly younger and less experienced
than her. Sandra was born on July 26th, 1967. Different
from Meg Ryan, Sandra owned a warm family. She came from a musical
family because of her father was a trainer of tone and her mother was an
opera singer. She also had a sister who was younger than her for
4 years. After graduating from university, she made up her mind to
be an outstanding actress, thus, she moved to New York. Her first
appearance was in a stage play called "No Time Flat." Later, she
got some chances to play roles in a few TV series, such as "Bionic Sbowdown"
(1989),"The Preppie Murder" (1989) or "Working Girls." (1990) She
also showed in some movies as small roles at the same period. However,
in 1994,"the girl who drove the bus" in the movie--Speed, opened a new
and bright window for Sandra Bullock and changed her life hereafter.
She became famous with the public. In 1995, her first starring role
movie, "While You Were Sleeping" pushed her to the top of success.
She was among the highest paid and most sought-after film actresses.
She has starred in 18 films to date. Among these, she also tried
something different, for instance, in the horror film,"The Net."
Sandra's position was once threatened due to the failure of Speed 2--Cruise
Control. But in this year, her latest movie,"Hope Floats" drew her
back again. Instead of being a role in other people's movies always,
Sandra set her own Production Company. Its first film was called
"Making Sandwiches." Besides to be a good actress, Sandra wasn't
miserly to show her other excellent gifts. Speaking of the plan for
the future, she said something unusual from the others. Although
she wasn't married yet, she might leave this field when she found the true
love. Before her leaving, of course, she hoped she could have a movie,
which can stand for her forever.
Whether
you are partial to either of them or you will choose which one to be the
queen of love stories, both of them are no doubt two outstanding and great
actresses. Each of them has her own high popularity and their sweet
and shining smiles have been the best gift for their supporters.
But it's really a pity that both of them don't get Oscar Prize yet.
Maybe their dream will come true in the future. Blessing them!
The purpose that I compare and contrast the two famous actresses is that
I wish to make everyone of you have a fundamental understanding for them.
Of course, I hope it practically works.

When it comes to Meg
Ryan and Sandra Bullock, what do you think about?(What
compare and contrast can you draw?) "Oh both
of them are very excellent actresses." "They are my ideal queens
for love stories." "They have beautiful and charming smiles and they
look just like our neighbors." All of these can be the possible answers
for this question, for their wonderful performances and natural and similar
characteristics have broght up
their own achievement.
Whether you are prtial to either of them, they are no doubt two outstanding
and great actresses. Both of them enjoy tremendous high popularity
and their sweet and shining smiles have been the best gifts for their supports.
But is there anything you can think more about them? Do you want
to know more about them?
Although they
are two totally different persons, except (in
addition to?) the similar characteristics,
something like and unlike makes them comparable:
For example,
the effect fo their different backgrounds,
how they enter this field, their changes from their usual roles, their
personal things and their plans for the future.
As we know,
one's youth can affect his or her life later directly and deeply.
Meg Ryan was born on November 19th, 1961. When she was 15 years old,
her mother left her in order to be an actress. Although they met
with each other frequently, the gap between wider and wider.
She couldn't figure out why her mother could do this to her. Hereafter,
Meg always refused to speak of her mother in the public occasion.
Because of the unhappy experience, Meg was partial to the role of "women",
especially different kinds of women. She acted each(every)
role truly (in earnest) and
hoped to make people think more about woman's(
women's) status in each situation. For
example, in Sleepless in Seattle,
who expressed that a woman should look for what she ought to receive(get)
according to people's wishes or her heart's summons. Compared with
Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock came from a more complete and warmer family.
She was born on July 26th, 1967. Because her father was a trainer
of tone and her mother was an opera singer. Sandra was a versatile
girl when she was
young. She had the foundation of 10
years' piano trainity
and 12 years' classical ballet experience.
So, when she made to be a good movie star and moved to New York,
she got the chance to be a role in a stage play called No
Time Flat in ¦Ê¦Ñ¶×
(Broadway) quickly.
How did they enter
the field and how was their performing (Performance)?
Meg Ryan started with the movies originally. She was noticed at first
in the movie called Top Gun.
Then, she was chosen by Steven Spielberg to be the main actress in Innerspace.
The success of When Harry Met Sally
made Meg to be
one of the most popular actresses. What's
more, her queen's position was established
in the blockbuster of Sleepless in Seattle.
Until now, she has starred in 21 films. However, Sandra Bullock started
her roles with a few TV series, such as The
Preppie Muder or Working
Girl. " The girl sho drove the bus"
in the movie--Speed
opened a new and bright window for her. She became famous with the
public. Then, her first starring role movie, While
You Were Sleeping, broght her to the top
of success. She has starred in 18 films to
date (so far.)
It's
a little dangerous for an actor to play the same role always,
always play the same role,
for it may lose
some fresh feelings for the audience. The audience
shall soon get tired of the same type. As
a result, both of them once tried to taste something unusual. For
Meg Ryan, she played a role of a liertenant in the movie--Courage
under Fire. It was
(is) a story about whether the "female" lieutenant
was(is) worthy
of being rewarded or not. She did a very good job.(and
convinced the audience that she could play....)
For Sandra Bullock, she tried something different in the movie--The
Net. It's a horror movie. It narrated(narrates)
the problems(danger of the internet.
Sandra is challenged with a series of computer-related crises),
which were followed when Sandra's (her)
identification password was erased.
To herself, she thought it's really a big challange.
How about their
marriages and other acievements instead of
(in addition to) being
a super movie star? Meg Ryan had
married with an actor, Dennic Quaid in 1991. She also had a son,
called Jack. In order not to be like her mother, Meg Ryan wanted
to play a role of a good mother in her daily life. She once said,"
I haven't thought (won't think)
I can be a good mother before but I really make it. Jack enriches
my life and I feel so proud." (sourse?)
For Sandra Bullock, she didn't get married and have
(she has) no baby though, she devoted
(devotes) her time on
(to) her own Production
Company (production company). She produced
her first short film called Making Sandwiches
by herself through it.
Maybe for Sandra, this was(is)
her child.
What's their plan
for the future? For
Meg Ryan, she
said she wouldn't give up acting because it was her favorite interest.
She also hoped she could have more chances to taste
(try) different and more challenging parts
in the future. But for Sandra Bullock, she said she might leave this
field if she ( could ) find
her true love. Nevertheless, she wtill hoped she could improve her
acting better and better and
try more challenging parts in the future, too.
Aa I mentioned
above, whether you are partical to either of them, both of them are two
eminent actresses. I believe,
for their supports, their positions are unchangeable
and so are their smiles. But it's really a pity that neither of them
has won the Oscar Prize yet. Maybe the golden man will fall to them
one day in the future. It's really a pity
that neither of them has won the Oscar Prize yet. I believe, for
their supports, their positions are unchangeable and so are their smiles.
Moreover, with their continuous efforts in improving their acting and trying
new roles, maybe the golden man will fall to them one day in the future.
