COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Welcome to take the Grammar & Writing Practice Course! This course aims to help you to develop a feeling of self-confidence and competence in English, to increase your flexibility in use of syntax, and to show you how to build on your strengths to create unified and coherent paragraphs by using writing strategies. Throughout the program you will read, write, and share ideas with your classmates; peer discussion groups, inter-class exchanges, websites visit, class writing projects, and revision workshops are all alternatives. All the activities are designed to help you enjoy writing as a process of movement, discovery, and communication. Do not worry about making mistakes -- you can learn from your mistakes!
Remember this -- PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! The best way to improve your writing ability is to write, write, and write some more. Please let me know how I can help you with questions or problems that you may have. We are all in this together! I hope you try your best to follow the course and enjoy your learning!

REQUIREMENTS

Be an active member of the class_this is possible only if you are present. Thus, regular attendance, class participation, learning attitude, and assignments submitting on time are very important for your grade and progress in language learning. If you are absent, you are responsible for the material that we cover in the class. If you miss the class for more than four times (with excuses or non-excuses), you might not pass the course. In addition, please make necessary preparation before you come to the class. Any delayed papers will not be accepted and you are expected to complete assigned writings on your own; that is, ¡§no late paper!¡¨ and ¡§no plagiarizing!¡¨ Failure to do so will positively affect your final grade.
