Bernard  by Cherry    Bernard is more realistic than Happy and Biff. He knows what can come true. He is an earnest, and loyal boy. Maybe this is also related by what his father had taught him. Besides, he changes as time goes by. When he was a child, he followed with Biff and goes after him, thinking Biff is a hero. However, when he grows up, he is a man of self-confidence very differ from former time. This is a contrast of Bernard. In my opinion, he is also contrast to the Lomon brothers.
