After working
so hard, this play finally grows matured. Despite all the obstacles
and frustration, I see it completed by all the staff and actor/acto\resses
with appreciation. In the process of working on the play, I've learned
much that will become a life-long memory for sure. I hope the play
is going to ompress you as well. I would like to thank the cast,
the stage staff ( especially Sean & Hugo), and Dr. Scott.
Ruth
As follows
is alist of hundreds of thank-yours:
Ruth, thank you for
contributing so myuch; Cecilia, thank you for your support; Jasper, thank
you for listening to my ceaseless grumbles; Mei, thank you for such brilliant
ideas; Dr, Scott, thank you for creating so many possibilities in this
play; and all the people who are involved in Liliom, thank you for
weaving me such a gorgeous tapestry of memory.
Sean
I always go to the small
park near my apartment to memorize my lines, to imagine Marie and Wolf
flirting with each other and stuff like passionate love and ideal love.
In the many rehersals, the annual play people are always laughing at me
because Marie is the funniest character. However, I fo appreciate
her since her simple--mindedness is rarely found in modern society now.
Hedi
Finally I make some progress.
After all, It's a great iimprovement from a servant to the magistrate.
hopefully I can act well. and hopefully, you can all tell whom I
try to imitate.
Agnes
It is a great experience
for me to play a role like Mother Hollunder. Now, I know whtat I
'll be like 50 years from now. Hehehe...
Jessica
This is my third time to
play an "immoral" character. Please, give me a chande! I'd
rather be a poor old woman, or a decent servant girl -- just no more the
shrewd!
Sunny
I'm so
glad that I have the chance to play the role of wolf. He is shy,
naive, simple and sincere; a stereotype of hard--working country prople
in Taiwan thirty years ago. Wolf is also the only charavter who has
the valuable chance to hug and kiss in this play, so I really cherish opportunity
of the rehersal. do you want to know more about Wolf? Just
wait and see!

In my opinion, Julie
is a sensible person together with a touch of rebellous charavteristic
within her. I think Julie is a very challenhging character
to act because she has to express herself through little gestrues and complicated
facial expressins. anyway, hope you enjoy it.

This is a nice experience
for me, though I fiil a bit tired of the many rehersals. This is
a chance for me to practice what I've learned in Performing Art.
Liliom is an interesting play, I expect that we can make it a successful
show.
Chad
You will never realize my
excitement of being a part of Liliom until you/ve seen it.
Stanley
Theatre is such an attractive
form of art, for you can experience a lot that you will never have in your
real life. I do appreciate this opportunity to work with sthese outstanding
senior schoolmates. Now the carousel is ready to start, hold tight
and enjoy it.
Lawrence
Liliom is a very
naive and childish character. He is like a child, a stern child,
fighting the world that evolves him. Money, fame and pride are the
conflicts that he has to conquer through the play.
Felix
To play Ficsur, I've got
to learn
A> the most cunning
eyes,
B> the most sneaky
posture,
C> the most nasty
scheme, and
D> the most sneering
attitude.
These are all set on
"Liliom," a man whom I take advantage of. Thus I have to act
like a really bad bad girl. Maybe not all men deserve such
compliments, so I can probably learn " some" from Ficsur. Then maybe
I can protect myself more and won't get hurt easily.
