Motel, the tailor / Ghost------------------ Jeff 潘科丞

It’s truly honorable and awesome to be in part of the senior play.

I would like to thank everyone who has devoted himself or herself to the play

and made all these miracles possible.

In the numerous rehearsals, no matter how much the

muscle was strained after each practice or how hard frustration

smote us from time to time, the tradition of ENG remained.

During the nearly four years, “Sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset, swiftly fly the years.

One season following another, laden with happiness and tears.”

Perchik / Ghost---------------------------Andy 王藝璋

It has been a pleasure working with all the casts and crew in this huge play production. This is the first time that I participated in a play as an actor. During all these months of hectic rehearsals,

I have learned a lot about stage performing from veterans like our beloved  (and sometimes hysterical) director Bruce,

the gorgeous and talented Lily and Maria, who contributed their time and energy to polishing my performance  (I know I’ve still got room for improvement!).

My interest in acting has certainly grown with the help and spurring of all the people involved. I would also like to thank Rebecca for enduring my unstoppable laughing fit in rehearsals, and I surely hope our chemistry comes through on stage. Last but not least, I know it may sound cliché, but I’d just like to say that the senior play is definitely one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had.

Lazar, a Butcher / Ghost-------------------Steve 項瑋志

This is my first time to participate in a formal drama, musical in particular.  Though I am not good at singing and dancing,

many seniors helped and encouraged me a lot.

I really appreciate their help and encouragement.

Besides, I felt it very hard in every practice, but not painful

since we all worked hard together just for one goal: making a wonderful play.  After all, the value of the play is how we work

and help each other together and how we make our dream come true.  I firmly believe that we will make the play wonderful and, at the same time, we experienced the  most memorable time in our lives for sure.

Rabbi / Villager----------------------------------Lanni 徐竹

We’re making history!

Been a pleasure working with you all. I love every one of you. You are  fantastic…

     WE ARE excellent!

I’m sure when we’re in our 70’s; pieces of memory will come back and we’ll smile…

There is a blessing for everything!

     ENG kicks ass!

Mordcha-----------------------------James 郭學昂

I am very happy to play a part in this musical.

I find crews are fantastic and we are having a lot of fun while doing practices.

Every one of us is doing his/her best to learn and perform the best.

I was chosen to act as a bar tender, who is always very delightful.

Best wishes to our play.

Mendel / Villager/ Ghost-------------------------------Elaine 蕭欣儀

Well, it's always great to work together with your friends, especially this time.  We work hard and also play hard. Thank you sooooooo  much for coming to our play and let's enjoy the show :-)

Avarm-------------------------------Miranda 蔡玫軒

Really don’t know how to express my feeling right now…but I indeed feel super lucky to have all of you as my classmates in the English Department   …as my friends in my college life…or as my audiences in our senior play…Thank you all for being my classmates, my friends, and my audiences…HOPE YOU ENJOY THE SHOW!!!

Russian/Villager--------------Evelyn 鄭欣恩

This is my first time to perform on stage.

I need to learn everything from the beginning and figure out ways on acting.

Nevertheless, I am glad to work with so many classmates together.

We practice together and we laugh together.  Most importantly,

my classmates help me conquer difficulties when I don’t know how to act,

dance or sing as a man. Participating in senior play is a valuable experience and also a wonderful memory for me

Grandmother Tzeitel--------Christina  楊喻婷

I’d never thought of playing a role of a squeamish dead grandma before. When I first read the script, the scene of Tevye’s dream sounded like a comic extra, a dressing to the main plot only. After we acted out this musical piece, the lively music and energetic dancing attracted me a lot even though this scene was actually full of the dead! I really enjoyed screaming “no” and hitting the high-pitched notes with my squeaky voice. Maybe Grandma Tzeitel is not the major role in the play, but screaming and dancing with other “ghosts” on the stage are surely fun!

Fruma-Sarah----------------------Peggy 周佳佩

I strongly believe that joining the senior play is definitely a right

choice to me and to everyone who gets involved. It not only gathers our faith together,

but also once again spreads out the sparkle and glow of our

English Department. I sincerely give my best regards (plus a group hug) to all the actors/actresses and staff. We will make it! We can make it! We are making it! Viva for 2005’s seniors of FJU ENG & Fiddler on the Roof!  Last but not least, whoever is reading this I also thank you. Thank you for supporting our play and thank you for supporting FJU ENG! Thank you!

Constable / Villager / Ghost--------------------------------Leo 劉啟揚

It's really hard to act. You would never know it until you really get involved in it.
It's the show to conclude our most precious four years.
Thanks for everything and finally I have the courage to be on stage.

Fyedka -------------------------------Denis 郭庭宇

At first I thought my character is a wealthy man but he’s a farmer’s son actually. Mm.. Uh.. But he has wealth in his heart. That’s still fine. You know. Fyedka’s confidence is attractive. Senior Play is worth seeing. I world love it if I were an audience! Yeah!

Villager / Russian / Ghost------------------------------- Clytie 黃鈴珺

Interesting, exhausting, moving, rewarding, and joyful.

It’s a mixture of feelings to participate in Senior Play.

I didn’t actually play any role in the play but only one of the dancers. However, I did enjoy working with the whole staff,  and the play itself, of course. In  the play, I think the singing is lovely, and the acting is attractive. Several scenes are so touching that I cried when only watching the rehearsals. This play makes me want to believe that everyone is entitled to some happiness,

including me if possible. Anyway, thank 阿布 & Jennifer for inviting me to join the play.  I’m glad that I made the right decision because  this is the only chance for me to work with most of the seniors that I admire a lot. = See you next year in senior play……MAYBE……haaaaaaaaaaa
