In the context, it refers a football game. The football game is used as a metaphor for life in society. In fact, the life in society is cruel for human beings. The life is like a football game, which is filled with dangers. Some people in the society will argue with other people for tiny things. These quarrel just like people who play in the football game to knock against each other. Hence, the speaker wants to present the bad side of the society.

In the first stanza, it refers various workers. They are dreaming about heroes. I consider it's because these workers can't be heroes in the reality, so they will dream about heroes. At the same time, they will hope their children be heroes. They hope their children be heroes in a football game. In fact, these fathers want their children be heroes in the society. On the other hand, the poet uses workers to present the problem in the society. I think it's because workers are the basic in the society.

The third line of the poem says gray faces of Negroes. And why it refers gray. I think it's because those workers are tired to their life. They think their lives are boring. Besides, they can't achieve their goal of being heroes. Moreover, the proud fathers are ashamed to go home because they consider there are nothing in their home. Their families are not rich. Most important of all, there is no love in the home. Hence, their women cluck like starved pullets because they complain about the poor and boring life.

I don't think the sons are looking for love and human contact. Because they just sacrifice for their father's dream. But in their thought, being a hero is a very proud thing. So, they will suicidally beautiful.

I think a job will affect a person's thought and life. Those workers survey their dream and thought by hoping their sons is heroes. Although there are many criminal things in the society, we still own many wonderful things in the world.

Disillusionment of Ten o'clock

The first line of the pome refers the houses are haunted, so it means people who live in the house are half alive. Meanwhile, they wear white night gowns. It means that people who live in the house are not active, like ghosts. The third line says none green, purple, yellow, and blue. It emphasizes again that the life is not colourful and fulfilled. The middle of the pome describes that people who live in the house wear with socks of lace and beaded ceintures. I think the poet want to show that although those people are rich, they don't live happily and under the control of the society. At the same time, people are not going to dream of baboons and periwinkles. Consequently, they can't have a wonderful life.

In the poem, the only person to dream is the old sailor. He drunk and asleep in his boots. He can do anything that he like to do that's means he doesn't under the control of the society. He also can catch tigers. He can cry out. Furthermore, the last line of the pome refers in red weather. I think it is a metaphor to the people who live in the haunted house. The red weather means the old sailor's age is just like the sunset.

The pome is discussing the freedom of the people who live in the society. It tells us we all shall live with our own thoughts. Then, our life will be different and fulfilled.

At the same time, the context of the pome also refers that people who live in the house not want to appear strange. That's because they are all under the traditional opinions. They don't hope their life change.

I think the poet hope people who live in the society can change their opinions of life and make their life more colorful.

In The Waiting Room

In the pome, it refers that the girl hears her aunt cry out in pain she thinks that it was me, my voices, in my mouth and was my foolish aunt I, we , were falling, falling . She identified that herself with her aunt and the African women. The aunt shows her weakness. And at the same time, the girl also feels afraid to the picture in the magazine. So she feels she has the same situation as her aunt.

In the second stanza, it refers that but I felt you are an I , you are an Elizabeth, you are one of them. I think the speaker wants us to think about ourselves' identity. Besides, I think the girl start to consider that she is a part of the world or the nature. She also think that people who live in the world are all the same. Moreover, the girl start to discover that she is a female. Maybe she will have the same situation as her aunt. She feels afraid because she may think she will like the women who live in the African.

I think everyone who live in the world is friends. We all live in a large family. We should care other people who live in the world. I start to discover myself may in the senior high school. When I studied in the senior high school, I just know that what I really want to be in the future. I just find that I am really interested in English. It is a wonderful thing to find what am I and what I wa
