Dear Alumna/Alumnus,
On behalf of all the faculty of the English Department, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the English Department Alumni Association Lunch Meeting on Saturday, May 22, 1999, beginning at 11:30 in the recently renovated Fu Yuan Restaurant on campus. This year is Fu Jen's 70th anniversary, and the English Department's 35th. The department welcomes all alumni to come back to the university and celebrate with us. This includes both undergraduate alumni and graduate program alumni, since we're really all one department. Please count yourself in!
This Alumni Meeting will also mark the occasion of the retirement at the end of this semester of Sr. Heliena Krenn, after 30 years in the department. I'm sure that Sr. Heliena would be very pleased to see you that day. Our other current faculty whom you might like to see again in the meeting ( and who would very much like to see you) include Fr. Daniel Bauer, Doris Chang, Br. Nicholas Koss, Cecilia Liu, Joyce Liu, Kate Chiwen Liu, Joseph Murphy, Raphael Schulte, Lyn Scott, Rebecca Yeh, Yun-Pi Yuan, and myself, as well as several part-time faculty who may have taught you, or who may be your classmates! You may also know, or like to meet, our secretaries Judy Peng and Faith Yang.
