Hi, Catherine,

You're quite right to say that it's been always our fear that scientific developments will go beyond our control. Which has happened, I think, with nuclear bombing in WWII.

Your association of Frankenstein's creation with our ways of dressing ourselves is also fascinating. Indeed, merely following fad, we may create a monster out of ourselves.
Pay attention, however, to the implication that the monster is both an Other and F's alter ego.
In that sense, it's quite different from our ways of dressing ourselves.
