Fu Jen Studies: Literature and Linguistics
is a publication of the College of Foreign Languages at Fu Jen Catholic University. The journal seeks articles pertaining to any aspect of literature or linguistics. It also maintains a tradition of featuring articles that take a comparative approach to, or study influences between, Western and Asian cultural expressions. Fu Jen Studies publishes a regular annual issue, as well as occasional special topics issues. The journal is indexed in the MLA International Bibliography and in Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA).

Submissions are always welcome. See Call for Papers for the next issue's deadline. Fu Jen Studies cannot consider manuscripts that are published elsewhere or that are simultaneously under review elsewhere.

Format. For all questions of form follow the most recent edition of the MLA Handbook (for articles on literature) or of the LSA Style Sheet (for articles on linguistics). Manuscripts should have a list of Works Cited (MLA Handbook) or References (LSA Style Sheet). Notes, if necessary, should be endnotes.

Language. Articles for Fu Jen Studies may be written in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, or Spanish.

Length. Ideally, essays should be 15-30 typed pages, double-spaced. Reviews and reports may be shorter.

Abstract and Keywords. Submissions should include a 150-word abstract and a list of keywords.

Author Information. In a brief cover letter, please provide your name, academic affiliation and position (if applicable), email address, and mailing address. Include your name on the first page of the article, but not on subsequent pages.

Evaluation. Manuscripts are evaluated by two readers who are not informed of the author's identity. As a result of these evaluations, the manuscript may be accepted for publication, accepted pending revision, or not accepted. (Reader Evaluation)

Production. When revisions have been completed, contributors should submit their final draft to the editor in Word format.

Offprints. Authors of accepted articles receive 5 copies of the journal issue and 5 offprints. Fu Jen Studies is made available to libraries and research institutions in Taiwan and abroad on an exchange basis. There is no cash income and no royalties can be paid.
