Types of Presentation:

  1. Paper: Focus on the investigation of theory and experiment; 30 minutes for each presentation, including 20-minute presentation and 10-minute discussion. The abstract should include a statement of theory, research methodology, and findings.

  2. Workshop: Focus on teaching demonstration. The audience will be invited to participate in the activities, 45 minutes for each workshop. The abstract should contain an introduction of the teaching activities, purpose of using these activities, and clear steps for practice.

  3. Panel Discussion: A type of group discussion, 3 or 4 scholars discuss current issues in English education among themselves and with the audience. The duration of each panel discussion is 90 minutes. Each panelist needs to prepare a submission form, and the moderator also needs to write the abstract, explaining the central idea of the panel discussion and the schedule for each panelist.

Conference/Paper Language: All the papers need to be written and presented in English.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission:

  1. The length of the abstract should be limited to 250 words, and the title should be limited to 10 words.

  2. Submit three copies of the abstract (without your name), a diskette containing your abstract (preferably in a version of WORD, DOS compatible, no MAC please), and the one-page submission form (one for each presenter).

  3. Submit via postal mail, please send to the following address:

Announcement of abstract acceptance: January 10, 2008

Full papers will be under blind review and those accepted will be published in the monograph.

論文發表形式:

一、論文口頭報告 (Paper):以理論探討及實務分析為主。每場30分鐘,論文發表20分鐘及討論10分鐘。摘要應包含理論概述、研究方法、及研究發現。

二、工作坊 (Workshop):以教學示範為主,並提供與會者演練機會。每場45分鐘。摘要應包含活動性質、目的、及演練項目。

三、專題座談 (Panel):每場90分鐘,由3-4人就相關主題發表論文,並邀請與會者參與討論。每位發表人均需繳交投稿表格,主持人另需撰寫摘要一份,說明專題座談的主要內容及概述每位發表人的內容。

會議及論文撰寫使用語言:一律以英文撰寫與發表。

摘要投稿方式:

一、摘要內容不超過250字,且標題不超過10字。

二、郵寄者,請寄1) 摘要匿名一式三份、2) 投稿表格一份、3) 並請附上磁碟片一份。
