Research worksheets & activities
Throughout the semester, in different class sessions you will be given worksheets to complete related to your research activities. Upload your files to the EngSite platform.

Group chapter presentation
You will be divided into groups to present a chapter from the textbook on one of the weeks. Since the teacher will be giving lectures on similar topics (using contents from other sources), choose to present a major or multiple points you find important or additional to the instructor’s lectures.

Research paper and Presentation
Throughout the semester, you need to work on a research topic that interests you. The research worksheets and activities will help you complete the research. By the end of the semester you will present the result of your hard work and also evaluate other’s presentations.

Research paper requirement:
With the assistance of the activities given on the research worksheets, you should be able to compile enough references for your research paper.
Write a paper:
(a) at least five 1.5 space typed pages, including the works cited page
(b) Use references from at least 4 sources (e.g., 2 journal articles, 1 book, and 1 magazine article). You may refer to internet-based journals but DO NOT USE ALL online sources. Please do not refer to information from invalidated or personal web sites. If in doubt, consult me in advance.
(c) Follow either MLA or APA style for your writing. Give correct citations and bibliography.
(d) You may write a collaborative research paper with a partner. In this case, the research worksheets should still be done individually. The length of the paper should be longer (to fulfill the requirement of 2 writers).

Research paper presentation guidelines
Instruction will be given to you on a separate paper later on.
