ACTIVITIES
*Self-learning/Journal writing activity
This semester I would like you to try out some self-learning activities. You
have the freedom to choose the study in LiveABC (http://englearn.fju.edu.tw/login/login.php),
Online Self-Learning center (http://ce.etweb.fju.edu.tw/self_learning.html),
or Self-Learning Web (http://ce.etweb.fju.edu.tw/slw/) (this part is for
conversation, writing tutoring, or other practices). Your learning must be
shown with online records every week. You can record your self-learning
notes or strategies and outcome on your own blog.
* LiveABC test
All CCIII sections will meet in BS 303 on March 4th from 1:15pm-3:30pm to do
a LiveABC test on Listening and Reading. The test will be equivalent to the
high-intermediate level of GEPT.
*Cross-Section Job Interview
This will be on March 24th and 27th. You will be interviewed by two other
people other than your own instructor. You will need to submit some
recommended descriptions for job/graduate school. Details to be announced
later.
*Issues and Rehearsals for Research Paper Convention
The research paper convention will take place on May 26, June 2, June 5, and
June 9. Abstracts are due on both printed version and on diskette at the
beginning of May (on May 5, 2007). For late turn-ins, 10% will be taken off
your final grade.
Prior to the convention, we will have rehearsals in our own classroom. 15
minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A will be given to everyone (a
total of 20 minutes per person). Please be prepared and make good use of
these practice sessions. Your classmates and instructor will be providing
constructive feedback for improvement.
You will be asked to sign up to attend other peopleˇ¦s presentations prior to
the convention dates (This is a requirement).
