|
全名為托馬索德塞爾熱瓦尼德蒙
。15世紀義大利文藝復興時期第一位偉大的畫家。
第一位使用透視法的畫家，在畫中首次引入了滅點，他的壁畫是人文主義一個最早的里程碑。
Masaccio出生於佛羅倫斯，"Masaccio"是綽號。
五歲時父親去世，隨母親改嫁到一位藥劑師家中，因此受到良好教育。
1417年繼父去世，全家遷居佛羅倫斯，1422年1月7日他作為畫家馬蘇斯的學徒加入當地的畫家公會並獲得馬薩喬的綽號。

馬薩喬的透視法及明暗對照法，影響鼎盛文藝復畫風格的建立。他放棄了歌德時期的繁瑣及複雜性，而追求更簡潔有力的造型。其中尤以人物之表情及實體感的表現，成就最為突出。其代表件有｢納貢｣及｢逐山樂園｣等。 |

在主祭壇右手邊的Brancaci禮堂,濕壁聯壁畫一開始1424由Masaccio和Masolino聯手合作。
Masaccio去世後由Filippino
Lippo接手於1480年完成。
濕壁畫是由San
Pietro(聖彼得)的故事及左右上方各一幅亞當與夏娃組成。兩幅亞當與夏娃表現出Masaccio與Masolino的異同。
