in the college is her dream, and her ideal is of course to teach in our
English Department.
Carol
Ju (Fairy) was in charge of sound effects in The Devil and Tom Walker (Freshman

accumulate a perfect performance.” Carol always does her best in
everything but never over expects.
Emily
Ju (Fairy) is versatile. She plays Chinese flute and Clarinet.
Besides, she is good at dancing. Although she got shocked when she
knew she was going to be a dancer in this play, you can see how well she
dances now on the stage. She describes herself “as busy as a bee, and
as blind as a fly”.
Grace
Hsu (Fairy) was in charge of setting in the play The Golden Doom (Freshman
Play Contest 1997). Being a fairy in this play, Grace realizes that
dancing is not easy. She feels tired of dancing in this play and
teaching English in Hess language school; however, she is very glad to
help Mr. Nash with the computer project of his course--Child Language.
She is a person loving to try different things to find the direction of
life. She was a member of Green Field Club and an editor of English
Department magazine Elite in 1999. Now, she is the Chief of Finance
of all seniors.

be a member in this play. She thanks all the dancers who she practices

“If you are not scared by my poker face, you will find I am a very nice
person to get along with.”.
Rita

But she wants to earn and save money first and then to make her dream come
true.

Association of English Department (1998-99) and this year, she is going
to be the editor of the annals for the 99' graduates of English department.
Zoe was not only a member of volleyball varsity team but also the one who
designed beautiful department T-shirt in freshman year. Almost completing
courses in literary track, she feels quite nervous about the future like
most seniors do. She set a goal for herself: she will find a job
after graduation and after two years she hope she has the chance to study
abroad.
Earl
Liao (Theseus) is thrilled to be back to the stage again. Earl made
his school acting debut by playing Mr. Hirshman in Please, No Flowers (Freshman

Seminar in the year of 1998.
Vickie Yang (Hippolyta) was the leading actress
(Sylvette) in The Romancers (Freshman Play Contest 1997); as a result,

girl in Liliom (Annual Play 1998). Jo Jo thinks playing the role
of Hermia is a dream that she never had before. This is her easy-and-clear
future plan: traveling abroad ?finding a job with fine salary?going abroad?getting
married?adopting a child?traveling again?going to haven. She describes
herself as water. She used to be the chief of Physical Education
in freshman year, chief of Art Designing in sophomore year and the head
of Group Activity in Student Association of English Department.
Stephanie

love pursuer. Seemingly having experienced the similar plight, she
prays that this kind of love won't happen on her ever again. Stephanie
is very proud of being a part of a living wall in The Romancers (Freshman
Play Contest 1997), in which the living wall won The Best Setting &
Prop. She was an English teacher at Sesame Street (1998-99), the junior
class leader of English Department (1999), a translator for Children's
Chinese Dictionary (1999), and a member of International Affairs Seminar
held by Chinese Youth Corps (1998).
Steven
Kao (Lysander) is very glad to have the chance to work with this group
of classmates and buddies in senior year. Having some trouble memorizing
Shakespearean English, he still has a lot of fun being Lysander in this
play. Steven, who has acted the fourth interviewer in Interview (Freshman
Play Contest 1997), claims that meeting fellow Midsummer member Jo Jo is
the happiest things in his college life, though he is lack of money now
and worried about failing many course in this final year.

familiar with in this play. He used to play the first applicant in

Play 1998). Chad, who has a dream of conquering Hollywood, is single
right now, and unfortunately he has personal financial crisis. In
college life, Chad thinks that he studied a lot but actually did nothing.
Vivian Liao (Quince) used to play a caretaker
in Please, No Flowers (Freshman Play Contest 1997) and it is her second
time to play a role on the stage. It is a challenge for her because
the role she plays is a male character. It takes her a lot of time
for Vivian to think about how to perform her part well. Vivian is
from Taichung. After graduating, she wants to take a national exam.
If she fails, she will keep on studying.
Natalie
Hsu (Snug) has played the role of Sandy in Please, No Flowers (Freshman
Play Contest 1997). Natalie thinks the senior play is very meaningful
for her because this is the last time to work with her classmates.

new. As for the future, she’d like to engage in the work that is
relevant to children's ESL education..

plays in school, but also joined theater workshops. He had once won
The Best Director in Please, No Flowers (Freshman Play Contest 1997).
Andrew is from Taipei. His future plan after graduation is to attend
graduate school (國立藝術學院). However, if he fails, he will do
military service.
Jason
Chien (Flute) has appeared in the plays such as Night Sky and R.U.R.
Participating in this play, he thinks it is hard to play a role in English
drama in a Chinese style. Jason used to win The Most Potential Actor
by playing in Night Sky (Freshman Play Contest 1998). Now, he is
only a junior but he has thought about what he wants to do after graduation.
He’d like to engage himself in teaching and painting.
Sharon
Hsieh (Snout) Once playing the role of Mrs. Bleaker in Please, No Flowers
(Freshman Play Contest 1997), Sharon feels it's a whole new and challenging
experience to act as a man in this play. She is nervous about her
plan of taking graduate school entrance exam, though she feels she is in
love again with her boyfriend recently. She was a teacher in Joy's
Children School and a receptionist in many international conferences such
as International Press Institute, International Family Doctors Organization
and Wonca Asia-Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition.
Phoebe
Chiu (Starveling) thought it would be easy to bring a play on the
stage; however, she realized she was wrong when she stood on the stage.
She found that being a part of this play is quite a challenge and it took
her a lot of time. With the faith of "it is our play", she never
gives up. Phoebe is a MIS minor and she is busy applying graduate schools
recently.
