Project (pairs)  Due: a week after your presentation

[The procedure of project oral presentation will be explained in class.]

In this written project you should develop an assessment plan for assessing a proposed class/course.  You might want to adopt the concept of alternative assessment in addition to including a paper-and-pencil test.  Your citation, if any, must be in MLA (or APA) format; do not plagiarize.  Be sure to include the following in your project:

Introduction

A brief summary of the proposed class, including the class size, the course content/objectives, and other relevant information, the purpose of the assessment, test specifications (e.g., what kind of test it is, abilities to be tested, etc.), and your reason/rationale for your adoption of the assessment method(s).

Design & assessment plan

Explain carefully and clearly what your assessment plan is, and if there is a test, how you come up with the test, including data collection, pre-testing, and/or validation of the test.  Include all information/materials (e.g., questionnaires, testsˇXwith complete info., such as percentage of scoring for each section/item, instructions to the testeesˇXsubjects, and instructions to subjects).

Conclusion

Problems you met in the process of developing the assessment plan..

[Appendices]ˇXSome material from Design may be too long to include in the text of the project.  If there is a test, a copy of your first and final versions of the test must be included.
