Objectives:
* To differentiate traditional testing from continuous assessment
* To understand the principles and trends of assessment and how they
can be applied in practice
* To develop a critical awareness of good vs. bad language tests
(and assessment instruments) by
evaluating the existing tests/assessment practice
* To learn about ways to assess various language skills and
integrate them in assessment
* To practice constructing valid, practical and reliable tests for
use in the classroom
